Mr. Edouard PLANCHE
France
CLT/CEM/UCH
P-4
EOD UNESCO 1998

Serving UNESCO and Member States for 26 years, I have always been keen, whether in my professional, academic or associative functions, to defend the mandate and objectives of the institution or the community to which I am committed and the rights of the employees and members who are its wealth. In this sense, my candidacy for the STU Council is motivated, among other things, by five areas of action:

  • listen to permanent and temporary colleagues in the Organization;
  • support and advise STU members based on my experience and knowledge of the Organization;
  • act for a fluid, fair, regular and trusting dialogue with all UNESCO stakeholders;
  • work to improve the quality of life and health at work, well-being, and psycho-social risks in the professional environment;
  • reflect collectively on the evolution of the organization of work arrangements (place and time).

The accelerated evolution of working conditions, the transformation of multilateralism, the reform of the United Nations and the changes that UNESCO is facing encourage me to actively join forces with those of the experienced, dynamic and supportive STU team. If I am elected, I commit to placing these demands at the heart of my mandate in a spirit of service to all colleagues who work for UNESCO's action throughout the world.

Elected on 20 March 2024 by the STU members for two years (April 2024 – March 2026), Mr. Edouard Planche is also member of the 17th STU Executive Bureau.
