I wish to present my candidacy to the election of the 71st STU Council. I joined UNESCO in 2004, as Associate Expert. Since then, I worked in several duty stations and with different duties. If elected to the STU Council, I commit to continue the work started over the past biennium, with a focus on the improvement of mental health at the workplace, on the alignment of the Medical Benefit Fund with global best practices, on career opportunities for G staff and on the revision of the Geographical Mobility Exercise, among others. For this reason, I ask you to support my candidacy. Thanks!

Elected on 20 March 2024 by the STU members for two years (April 2024 – March 2026), Mr. Simone Grego is also member of the 17th STU Executive Bureau. On 2 April 2024, he is elected STU President for one year (April 2024 - March 2025).
