Given that UNESCO is currently facing major new challenges, there is a need for a constructive and negotiating approach with the administration to ensure that equitable conditions of service are maintained and that staff rights are respected. In addition to this specific objective, I am convinced that together we can foster the development and perception of the international civil service as a concerted joint effort of committed and competent individuals and not as an unquestioning execution of set objectives by anonymous bureaucrats.
Elected on 20 March 2014 by the STU members for two years (April 2014 – March 2016), Anahit Minasyan left UNESCO on 30 September 2015.
